Movement for Life Pilates Inc. is dedicated to whole body health and fitness using the Pilates method. We believe in maintaining the purity and integrity of the Pilates method adapted for your needs and enjoyment.

Pamela Blackmon
Our owner/director has been actively teaching in the fitness industry since 1982. She has successfully taught classes in step, ball, bootcamp, and yoga, before discovering Pilates among the many fitness workshops she attended, Pamela became certified in Pilates Mat Level 1 & 2 through the Physical Mind Institute of New York. Despite years of training and practicing other fitness programs, this was the first time that Pamela actually had a functionally strong core! Pamela has:

   > Certification in the Pilates Method with over 500 hours of training
       on all Pilates equipment at Pilates Unlimited Inc. in Vancouver;
   > Sports nutrition and healthy weight loss courses, Health Sciences,
      University of British Columbia
   > Rehabilitation physiotherapy training
   > Additional training at the world renowned Dianne Miller Pilates Center
      in Vancouver
   > Pamela continues to take courses from Dianne Miller and other great Pilates
       elders like Ron Fletcher and Mary Bowen and Pilates training gurus
       Michelle Larson and Marie-Jose Blom-Lawrence.
